WORKSHOP: INTENSIVE EDITING & CONVERSATION

I offer one-on-one workshops for published and unpublished writers. This is a chance to devote a day to you and your work.

You will send me your novel a couple of weeks before you are booked in, then, with a nice view, we will sit down for a day and talk about your novel.

We will cover all the usual suspects: plot, structure, character, voice, with a view to exploring your work in depth and resolving anything that needs to be resolved.

Your manuscript doesn't need to be complete in order to book in—the day is often about workshopping story and plot in order for you to finish that draft. This is a time for broad thinking and nourishment.

We will wander down to local restaurant Pig and Goose for lunch, past the Gong and through the botanic gardens.

Cost: $1100+ (depending on length of your book). Food for the brain and the tastebuds included. Take home: my notes on your book.

Where: Buninyong, Victoria. Fifteen mins out of Ballarat, approx 1.25 hours from Melbourne.

INDEPENDENT PUBLISHING

Can I help you independently publish your novel?
Yes.
I have taken several authors from manuscript to published book and then had the pleasure of going to their book launches. I can put you in touch with designers and proofreaders, and I have long-standing relationships with printers. Independent publishing is not for the faint-hearted, but it is incredibly rewarding.
